Emoluments & benefits
We are not a cumbersome organisation with rules on paper that are of no use to anyone. That is why some matters are arranged informally, but fairly and clearly: Would you like to borrow a van? That is possible, but always check with planning first. Need to do a job at home with some leftover materials? Discuss it with your team leader; often something can be arranged. Want to sponsor a charity or sports activity for a colleague or child? Small amounts are often possible. Just ask.
Good Work, Good Humanity
At De Graaf Metaalwerken, it’s not just about craftsmanship, but also about how we treat each other. On this page, you will find our additional agreements and principles that contribute to a healthy, respectful and committed working culture.
Standards and values in the workplace
We believe in respect, honesty and independence. Everyone is given the space to do their work in their own way, but with consideration for each other. We are direct, but always respectful. We talk with each other, not about each other.
Inappropriate behaviour
There is no place for inappropriate behaviour within our company. Whether it concerns harassment, bullying, sexual innuendo, racism or abuse of power: always report it. You will be taken seriously, without judgement. We will deal with it. Confidential advisors are available through HR.
Equal opportunities and minorities
We support initiatives for equal opportunities, regardless of origin, gender, age or background. We want to be a working environment where everyone can feel at home. Do you have ideas for strengthening diversity? Let us know, we are open to all initiatives.
Discrimination
Zero tolerance. Discrimination – in any form – is not accepted. Not in the workplace, not outside of it. We actively address this issue and take action where necessary.
Sponsorship & local involvement
We sponsor FC Utrecht and local sports initiatives, among other things. But we also support small-scale neighbourhood projects, youth activities and technical training courses. Do you have an idea for a local project? Send us an email or talk to us – good ideas are always welcome.
Foundation & social work
We are co-initiators of the T.O.M. Talent Ontmoet Mogelijkheden (Talent Meets Opportunities) foundation, which is committed to talent development in the region through technology, sport and creativity. Think of projects with recycled metal, sports programmes with young people or modular construction kits. Would you like to participate or do you have an idea? Come and see us, and we will make it happen together.
Everyone here is a professional, but also just a person. With care for each other, our village and our community, we are not only building steel structures, but also trust and a future.
